Mark Hanham Gallery is proud to exhibit new artworks of Mark. “Moving into a Parisian Scene” linked sensuality and romanticism, and show how Parisian fantasy inspires the movement of the body into mark’s mind.
Inspired by Jackson Pollock and his Dripping technique, Mark invites you to travel with him into the French capital. With “Mad Hatters Paris” Mark turn his character into alive puppets playing music, talking at the coffee terrace. The people you saw on the street are the same that you can see on the Nudes Series, indeed the body, the palette, the little touch of paint tell you a story.
Born in Sydney, he attended the "National Art School" where he got a Master in Fine Art. The style he has developed is inspired by Jackson Pollock and his "technical dripping" with a touch figurative effects. Cityscapes of Paris, Venice and London to the nudes, Mark navigates between subjects while respecting its identity. First figurative, his works evolve gradually towards a more abstract style.
With a photographic memory, these works reflect these travels and captures the audience's attention by focusing on forms and abstract lines. Its universal themes enchant connoisseurs, collectors and nostalgic travelers.
Featuring its own gallery in Sydney, he is surrounded by the best art dealers (Art Index, Fellia Melas) and usually reach records at auction in Australian auction houses (Charleston's Auctions, Menzies).
